| In an exquisite evening of sumptuous food and intimate music, gifted singers of three cultures mingle songs with personal stories of meaning and emotion. Dragi Spasovski's honey voice will captivate you in songs learned from his mother in Skopje, Madeconia --- some sprightly, some haunting. James Marinopoulos, a hidden treasure of Seattle's Greek community, will move you with his passion for Theodorakis tunes, as well as sweet lullabies from his childhood. Amir Arslanagic will share his Bosnian culture's unique blend of rich melodic modes and poetic text. These three golden voices will be framed by instrumental accompaniment: David Bilides will be featured on kaval, tambura, and saz; Steve Ramsey on tambura and bouzouki;and Amir Arslanagic on guitar. Through this combination of personal stories, songs and limited instrumentation, you will be treated to a look inside these artists in a disarmingly personal way. They will touch your hearts and, in turn, be touched by your reactions. |
